dear world,

happy birthday! 

i hope you are beginning to recover from a year of tremendous highs and lows.  i know that i have.

i've been complaining, in fact, for a long time that i still don't know what i want to be/do when i grow up.  i know that at some point, we just get busy living.  yet, somehow, that too has felt evasive in my life.  i have struggled to find that thing i could get totally obsessed with that wasn't begun or orchestrated by someone else.

until this year.

this blog is the first project that i've begun and felt truly inspired by outside of a school or job framework.  i am resolving therefore to make this blog real.  in that vein, i am certain that the best and surest way to give the New PolyAnna legs is to post often.  as such, i am resolving further to make at least one post every day.  (thank W for the iphone, because otherwise there is no way this would work.)

let's see what happens. and be glad.
